By accessing or using College Matcher (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

College Matcher is a college matching platform that provides personalized university recommendations, school comparisons, transfer matching, and parent tracking tools. The Service uses data from the U.S. Department of Education College Scorecard and proprietary matching algorithms.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 14 years old to use College Matcher. If you are under 18, you represent that you have parental or guardian consent to use the Service.

4. User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to provide accurate and complete information when creating an account. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

5. Premium Subscription

College Matcher is 100% free and ad-supported. There is no paid subscription tier. If that ever changes, we'll update these Terms with specific pricing, billing, renewal, and refund policy before any charges occur, and notify users in-app and by email.

6. Accuracy of Information

College Matcher provides estimates and recommendations based on publicly available data and user-provided information. Match scores, financial aid estimates, and acceptance probabilities are approximations and should not be relied upon as guarantees. Always verify information directly with universities.

7. User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
• Provide false information in your profile or quiz responses to manipulate results.
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or its systems.
• Scrape, copy, or redistribute data from the Service without permission.

8. Intellectual Property

All content, algorithms, designs, and code comprising College Matcher are owned by or licensed to us. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the Service.

9. Limitation of Liability

College Matcher is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to college admission decisions or financial outcomes.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason at our discretion. You may delete your account at any time through the Settings page.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance. We will notify users of material changes via the app or email.
